If my DD fits in her scenera when it's sitting on the floor will she fit when it's installed in a car forward facing? She has about 1/2 inch before she's even with the top slots. It lives at the sitters in case of emergencies but I want to take it with us when we fly to the UK in July. I'd rather not go through the hassle of installing it to check the fit if I can help it. Do they sometimes lose growing room when it's installed? I'm really hoping it will still work as it's such a great travel seat.

Not unless it installs straight up right in the car. I thought DD had plenty of room in her Scenera but then when I installed it in my car she was above the slots. It ended up in her dads car where it installs a touch more upright and gives her about half an inch.

Not really. You can't put anything underneath an FFing seat. Probably better to use a different seat.
