Will the Avenue get most kids to age 3 and 35lbs rear facing
and is it easy to install does it have a small footprint

if not are there any cheep ones that will

I want to go with rear facing to at least 3 and 35 then I want another GN for Forward facing (plan for now anyway)

dd2 is 19 lbs and 28 inches now at 7 months and is on the 2nd to top slot on the onboard 35 with about less then an inch before she is even with the top slots.

The Avenue has a 36" limit for RF. What about the Safety 1st Guide 65 or Evenflo Sureride, or Graco MyRide?

I would look at the Evenflo SureRide. My daughter outgrew the Avenue rear facing well before 3.

The SureRide should certainly get you to 3 rear facing, its a breeze to install and will offer tons of growing room for forward facing as well.

was looking for something around the price range of the avenue they have on for 49.99 on albeebaby

it has to be able to fit my 95 civic outboard and also fit next to dd1 booster right now shes in a vivo but will soon be in a harmony lite rider backless
in a few other vehicles

I was thinking the sure ride but then it eliminates the need for a GN which I had one for dd1 and it fit everywhere I need it too in all cars

I guess i need to see how tall my dd1 was at 3 since dd2 has been about the same height and weight when she was a baby.

Kohls has the SureRide if anyone has a 20 or 30% code it'd get it down to $70 or $80. The difference being she will be able to use the SureRide for its entire 6 years until it expires. Its harness for ff is taller than the nautilus. You would be able to skip getting a nautilus and get a dedicated hbb at the time it expires assuming she is mature enough at that time.
ETA: pics of it puzzling and size

You can also get a version of the Safety 1st Guide 65 from Walmart for just under $80. This seat will also work for a long time both rear and then forward facing.
