I put a Turbobooster in our van for dd last weekend so that her Prosport could go in dh's car (which none of the kids had been in for a while). Since she'd never been in a booster before I told her that it was very important that she didn't move around, because she needed to be still in order for the booster to do its job and protect her.
Today when we were driving, she started asking why it was important for her to stay still and I explained about proper belt positioning and how a harness keeps her in the right position, but a seatbelt depends on her staying in the right position. I thought I was doing a pretty good job explaining everything until she asked if it was okay if she moved her hands. Whoops. Guess I overstated the "no moving" rule a bit! (I'm glad she asked!)
