I have one Diono R120 with the red metal shoulder belt guides. I've always hated them and wish they were not there. I've actually hit/scratched my arm on them before when moving/installing the seat. I never intend to use this seat as a booster. Does anyone know if there is a way to remove them?
The other day DD1 was standing on the floor of my car, in the space in between my two Radians, while I buckled in DD2. She was bouncing around a little and she kind of whacked her head up against the side of her sister's seat, right where the metal belt guide is. She started crying because it hurt. That got me wondering if in an accident, if someone is sitting next to that seat, could they possibly end up hitting their head on the metal belt guide?
