bent harness knob, and a RXT issue.

I had a look at a friends seat Boulevard today to help her move the harness up higher, and one of the knobs that you turn to adjust it was totally bent so that it couldn't turn very far. Tried to bend it back, and that sucker wouldn't move a bit, its a thick bit of metal that the knobs are attached to. So the harness won't move either direction.

Her ds is 3, and RF, but the headwings are smushing his shoulders so he can't ride in it like that. Its a backup seat, so I told her not to use it and to call Britax, for that, and that her entire cover is hairy looking, like its shredding, its very strange. I'm guessing its not safe to use like that?

Have you ever seen this? I can't figure out how she managed to do that!

Also, her ds's main ride is an RXT. She took the cover off to wash it, and somehow did something weird to the little "wings" on either side of the bum part of the seat (what are those things called?). Somehow, they are splayed open, and won't go back in because the little bar that holds them in place is pulled out about 1". I think, if the bar was pushed back in with everything positioned right, that would lock the wings in place. But it won't go in on either side. Not sure how/why she got them out in the first place.

Any ideas about that one? I told her to call Diono! Is it ok to use like that? The only seat she has that isn't messed up is a roundabout, but her ds doesn't fit in it RF, and she wants him RF still (at least she got that right!)

I don't know how she manages to do this stuff to her seats.
