Maxing out ProSport harness, what to do?

Ds1- 4yr 8m 48" and 56lbs, is at the top slot of the prosport, he's even with it. How long would you leave him in it? He has two fr85s, one in dhs car and one in gmas, so do I take one of those out and swap it with the prosport and switch him to booster mode in the prosport, he's never ridden in a booster before so that makes me nervous. Buy another fr85? Wait and buy the new fr90 or pinnacle (which I want anyways ;))When are they supposed to be released? Can the prosport be latched in booster mode? I could swap the ps for the fr85 out of gma's since he rides there very rarely, but I don't know how I feel about letting him ride in a booster with someone else either.

I think keeping him as is would be fine. Otherwise switch out a FR and wait out the couple months until the 90 is released.

If you're interested in the Pinacle 90 anyway then I would wait for it to become available. IIRC it was due out in May according to Amazon. Honestly, he's in no danger if his shoulders are even with the top slots. And even 1/4" above is no big deal. Still, it might not be a bad idea to swap the ProSport with one of the Frontiers that are used less often in a secondary vehicle.

I would totally wait for the FR90 if you think you might want one. May is really not that far away! And we should hopefully have more details next month so you'll be able to make a better decision then :)

I would switch it to booster mode when he starts to go above the slots, but I wouldn't put it in grandma's car. Where's the third one, Daddy's car? I'd put it there. Our grandmas can barely be responsible for making sure they're buckled correctly, not for monitoring behavior and movement in the seat.

Since he's SO tall for his age, I think using the booster occasionally is important for what will inevitably come next...
