Question Would you feel comfortable altering your foonf?

So DD is 2 and she has gotten her hand stuck twice in the belt path of our foonf while riding in it. Both times she screamed her head off and the one time it actually scratched her hand.

Clek said that they changed the seat cover design and could send us a new cover that could take upto three weeks.

Clek said I could tape off the sharp edge and stuff the space with a wash cloth. Would you feel comfortable doing that?

I'm afraid my inquisitive LO would feel enticed by the wash clothes and would want to play with it even more.

I would put duct tape around the edges of the belt path, that way even if she does stick her hand in there she won't cut herself :) Or just tape over it completely so she can't get her hand in there.

I would be OK with taping off the sharp edges if Clek OK'd it. If you can get your hands on some good gaffers tape, it comes in white and black, doesn't leave a residue and the good stuff will stay put. If you stuff a washcloth folded into quarters in from the outside of the seat and pull tight until it was wedged, she might not be able to push it out; the opening isn't that big. Then I would take a pic and email it to Clek to make sure but I am not a tech so would be paranoid.

ETA: Just to be clear, I would be paranoid so I would send it a pic to make sure. If they OK'd the pic, I would be fine.

Yup I'd be ok taping it off if they said it was ok. Are you using the belt path? I assume so. I'd be sure to not tape over the seat belt or latch strap.
