Boy Parts and Harnesses

A friend has a newly four year old son who has started crying/complaining about being buckled in his harness. He's no where near booster ready, but the family is likely to booster anyway unless a solution is found quickly.

He's in an Evenflo Chase in mom's car. He did complain in a RN with the crotch buckle at center, but not in a Go. He also doesn't complain in a Complete Air, buckle out, I think.

So, is there something to help in the Chase? Otherwise I'll be trying to get the Go in an already tight three across. Also, an inexpensive, narrow HWH that converts to a good booster might be an option since mom knows she'll have to replace the Chase to be able to buckle the booster rider. Dream on, right?

Is she making harness too tight? Remind her it is at shoulders it is tested. I used to have a friend who would keep tightening because there was space between torso and harness. Poor kid. ;)

I don't think she is, but I'll double check!
