I guess this could be funny or infuriating, based on how you look at it. I'm going with funny because I don't have the energy to be ticked.
Anyway, you might remember that back in January I got in a very minor crash in Albuquerque while we were on our way across the country. (Guy cut through a lane of cones and into my lane. His car had no damage--mine was very minor.)
We filed a claim through our insurance company, and although it took a while, the other guy's company accepted responsibility. Apparently his company still needed to get a statement from me, so I talked to them last night.
The lady asked if I had any passengers with me, and I said, "Yes, my three children." She asked if any of them were under 7. At first I thought it was a strange question, but I said yes, two of them are under 7. Then she asked if those two were in car seats. That's when it clicked that New Mexico car seat law must be "under 7." Of course, I said yes, then quickly added, "All three of them were." She went, "Oh? Oh! Uh." like she'd never heard of such a thing. I came close to going into a long spiel but really I just wanted to get off the phone. It felt good to throw her for a loop though
