I'm really not impressed with the crypton fabric the blue looks faded. The belly pad is not very impressive ( round disk like the frontier 85) I would have liked to have seen something like the pria pad or the coccoro pad. Both of my girls have plenty of room to grow. The no rethread sucks but the headrest is cool. Unless I'm getting a Mazda 5 I'm probably going to have to sell this beast. I just placed it in my car and there's not a lot of room.

Re: Foonf arrived pictures with a 2 and 6 year old

Thanks for sharing!

Is that blue moon? Online I thought it was navy, but it looks more indigo in some of your pics and like a dull light navy in others and definitely lighter than the online pics? So, based on your comment, the dull, light navy is what it is?

6 yo's height? It amazes me that some 6yos can fit in convertible seats because mine is on the top slots of the Frontier 85. :(

Blue moon is very hard to capture the color. In the picture where my little DD is crying and the head rest is all the way up shows the most accurate color.

My 6 y/o is 44" with a 14.5" torso.

I got some more pictures in my 2013 passat.

Foonf. It actually takes up less room and is installed with the third recline.

Sleeping in foonf.

Sleeping in radian compared to the foonf. I understand that head slump is not a safety issue or comfort issue but it makes me feel more comfortable.

I dislike most blues anyway, but that is really not a pretty blue. :( They should've just made it purple.

room up front with foonf?

this is an oooold post. but thought i'd try my luck anyway.

I looove the idea of having a foonf, but im curious about how much room it leaves the driver/front passenger. i was told Toys R Us may let you try it in your car before you buy... but i'd love to hear from some real families, especially with a Mazda 3 (2007?) 4 door sedan. i'm 5'9" and my boyfriend is a few inches taller, not far from 6 foot...

any help appreciated. thanks!

I can have the Foonf behind me when I am driving in my 09 Forester. I am only 5'5" though. The Foonf is 33" fore to aft or from the anti rebound bar to the back of the headrest. This page has some measurements. I believe that is on recline 3 which is the most reclined. Clek has also allowed reclined 2 if you need more room.

Toys r Us does let you try seats before you buy but I have never seen a Foonf on the floor in either of our TRU or BRU. You could get one from someplace with free returns like amazon if yours doesn't have one. If you link from here, carseat.org it will help support carseat.org.

We have a 2007 mazda 3 with 2 RF Foonfs... If you adjust the front seats to a more upright angle you can have them almost all the way back (like one click from the last position). The best part is that the head rests on the foonf puzzle perfectly with the headrests on the car so you get the extended rear facing without an issue. We tried RF radians and it was ridiculous. The Foonf gives more space than our Britax boulevards in rfing.

Foonf fits with max recline in middle seat of mercedes benz ml320 2008. Both front seats can be fully reclined back. Pretty nice.
