I rinsed with water, then wiped with clorox wipes and scrubbed a little with an old tooth brush on the visible stains. Everything came out great but then again the puke was quite fresh :thumbsdown:

I thought both baby wipes and clorox wipes were not allowed to be used to clean straps? It would be awesome if baby wipes were ok!

I don't know about other brands, but when I called Britax about vomit on my BLVD70 straps about 1.5 years ago, they told me no wipes of any kind. They said to wipe them down with a wash cloth dampened with water and small bit of mild soap like Ivory or Dove and then wipe again with a cloth dampened with water to rinse. I put the seat out in the sun to air out for a full day to get all the smell out. It was fresh puke though.

You thought right.

Yay for Persimmon. :) The best course of action is always to call the manufacturer and see what they allow. OP, since your puke happened on the weekend when Britax is not answering their phones, you obviously wanted to find out sooner than you could if you waited to hear it from them. I have also called Britax about cleaning straps and gotten the same answer as Persimmon. So, take that for what it's worth. And don't underestimate the power of sun (even if it's cloudy and/or cold outside), fresh air, and time!

If all else fails, you *can* order new straps from Britax, though they are not cheap.
