Used Honda website?

As soon as we sell one of our rental houses. I want to purchase a Honda Odyssey. I have done so much research on a minivan.
People keep detering me away from one because I am 25 years old. They say I am too young to drive a minivan.
I have 3 children, a 10 year old boy, a 6 month old son, and a 2 year old girl.
As of now I have a 1994 passport with all 3 children in back. The back seat is the safest I heard. But with a britax carseat and a saftey 1st convertiable seat there is very little room for our skinny 10 year old son.
I think the 2002 odyssey is the first with latch. I might be wrong.
I need to do more through reviewing on the specific years.
Some questions that I have are:
- Is leather or cloth better in your opinion?
- DVD player- Is it cheaper and better to have a factory installed, or somewhere else to have one put in. Where do they usually put the portable one? And is that safe?
-Is there a specific website for private sellers that have alot of used odyssey's for sale? Or a good website? I live in PA if this helps.

My husband says that our 1994 honda passport is good for our needs.I have a very diffrent view.He says it gets us from point A to point B. I feel with 3 kids we need more room, and so much more saftey. Any advice on this issue would really help.

Thanks ~ Renee

Good for you, not listening to folks who tell you you're too young for a minivan. Honestly? You're never too young to own a safe and convenient vehicle, IMO. (I put off buying a minivan, and bought a Buick Rendezvous first, and it was the pits to get kids and people into and out of that wretched gas-guzzler, lol).
If it's really the Odyssey you are looking for, try www.odyclub.com, they might be able to help you find the best new/used dealer in your area.

I have leather and a built in dvd, and am quite happy with it. Maybe Darren can chime in on whether he likes his cloth and aftermarket DVD......? I think 2001's also have LATCH, so that gives you even more selection in the other options.

Good luck!

The Honda's don't have latch in the back...but I would go with leather because it is sooo easy to get spills up!
I was 25 when I bought my first minivan...I looked at the Odyssey, but went with the Sienna because it has LATCH in both back rows.
I have a factory installed DVD player. You can get one installd aftermarket, but I didn't because I didn't want anything messing with my electrial warranty on my new van! If you get a portable player I think the only way it would be safe is if it were strapped to a seat. Then you would have to worry about someone seeing it & breaking into your van to steal it. You may point out to your husband that you should get a van because all the kids are going to do is get BIGGER...so they will need more room.
It doesn't matter how old you are...you have 3 kids...I think it must be cramped back there!
Good luck. Erin
I know there are honda sites out there...but I don't know any addresses...www.siennaclub.org is the Sienna site & someone there would have the odyssey address (& you could get some sienna info)...but they are into their Sienna's!
