I got my system more then 90 days ago so I can't return but I won't need to however what I wonder is how long should I keep the boxes and what else besides the instruction book should I keep?

It's super nice to have if you ever want to sell it and get something new, good luck finding a box to ship it in I you don't keep the original

As soon as I know it won't be returned, the boxes get collapsed and recycled. My home is too small to do otherwise.

Mine get recycled as soon as I am 100% certain that I will not be returning anything. I don't have space to store boxes for everything. I do have a drawer full of instructions though.

I usually recycle my car seat boxes within a week or so of purchasing them...until I had to ship a MyRide back to Graco a week ago and spent way too much time and gas trying to find a box big enough to ship the darn thing back in. Wal-Mart and Lowes didn't sell boxes big enough and I went to two BRU's looking for a car seat box that might have been left behind that it would fit in. Finally found a Maestro box that had been returned with a defective seat. It wasn't a perfect fit (there was a bulge in the box at one end) and the guy at the Fed Ex store balked about it. My husband was going to pay an arm and a leg buying a box it WOULD fit in until the Fex Ex guy realized that he didn't have one big enough either. Sigh. In the end it shipped as it was and Fex Ex told us they wouldn't be responsible for the seat if it got damaged (although it was already defective, so I'm not sure it really mattered much). The moral of this story (for me at least), is that I will be keeping future car seat boxes if at all possible, if only to save me a lot of stress and frustration should it ever need to go back to the manufacturer.

I have a basement, so I usually keep them. However, if I had a small home with no basement, I'd probably recycle them. The reality is that I rarely ever use them again.
