Britax Diplimat- pictures and a question

first, the question. I didn't have a chance to look at the manual before dh called to say he was done with his meeting and it's not online yet. When is it outgrown by height rf? Is it at the top of the actual shell, or the TSIP headpiece?

and now, here are a few shots of the Diplomat I saw today at USA Baby. I glanced at it three times before it registered what I was looking at.

ds was not a willing model, or maybe he's just concerned about internet security.

I found it online at http://www.britaxdiplomat.com/#, but I still don't know the answer. For maximum height rf it says, "The child is too tall when the top of the head is 1 inch from the top of the restraint."

is that shell? wings?

also, interesting to go back to the 1" rule.

Man, I hate that one inch rule...sigh.. takes away so many months of RF for so many kids and flies in the face of the AAP...

Anyway, on the Advantage, I think we used to go by the top of the headrest as the guide, not the top of the seat shell....same dialing headrest dealy.

Really? That actually make me kind of excited for this seat. If so, it'll be a good option for erf in small back seats. It won't take up any more space than the RA, but will offer several more inches.
