Peg convertible with an ARB in the US?

Am I imagining things or did I read somewhere on this forum recently that the Peg with the ARB will be available in the US? If so, I am selling my RXT and getting one of those when my little guy outgrows his CCO. And do any of you Canadians have a pic of the Peg's ARB so I can get an idea of what it looks like and how much room it takes up?

Thanks!

I didn't hear that bit I did hear an unsubstantiated rumor that they will begin allowing rf tether in march and that it will be retroactive.

Post 6 in this thread says:

Someone asked the question in the recent "posts by others" on the Peg USA facebook page, and one of their reps confirmed that ARB will indeed be coming to the US in the spring, but no exact date as of now, and that there will be an option for current seats without the ARB to rear face tether and they will send out an extra piece to anyone who asks for it. But I think that is still in the works, maybe they will make an official announcement later this spring.

Loving the fact that there may end up with some rebound control on another rf seat!! Now, can anyone tell me the rf height limits on this one? I want to know all my potential options (when they become available) before committing to the headwise70 -which I would only be getting because it was tall enough to keep my monster rf!

I contacted peg directly via email and the customer service rep emailed me back stating that yes, in the spring in the US the seat will be sold with a rear facing tethering option and previously sold seats will have the option of it as well. I don't know if this means they will send us a "d ring" or if we will have to purchase this from them?

Its only 24" in the top rf position so not particularly tall. It is 45lbs rf though. The new Chicco Nextfit, Radian, Foonf, and Size4Me (headwise70) are all taller.

I am considering the Peg convertible and wanted to find out if I could make it til the newer version is released. I called the 1-800 # and w/o hesitation the rep told me production will begin in March and the seats should be available in the US in April.

How is it that BOTH the newer Peg AND the NextFit are coming out in April? No way can we make it that long in our temp seat.

You could get a SureRide as a temp seat and then use it as your backup/travel seat later. They're on sale this week at BRU.

Hmm, I like how you think! Our current travel seat is a Tribute--it's days are seriously numbered. If we don't figure out a new seat in the next week, I will have to flip him. And it won't even last much that way, what with the 40" overall limit.

I wonder if we could get 2-3 mos RF out of the SureRide? I'll have to figure out if the shell is taller than the Tribute.

Thanks!!

ETA: Just found the "Love the SureRide" post, complete w/ great RF pix. Looks great!!
