Yes? It's not in the manuals but it's what we've all been taught (in both the US and Cdn curriculum, AFAIK). I've never read a manual that said not to do it.

:yeahthat: It's been a while since I've read through the manuals front to back, but there never was any warning against doing it and that's something that someone here would have picked up on and commented about.

Basically it's not going to change anything about the seat or its function. It's just making sure the child stays in proper position to allow the seat to work right without interfering with the harness by filling empty space-like rolled blankets on the side of the child.
