head slump in boosters?

When considering using the nauti as a booster, I wondered if head slump would occur like using it harnessed. That got me wondering further, given that boosters tend to be more upright than harnessed seats and even the Frontier is more upright in booster mode, how big of a problem is head slump in boosters?

We're new to boosters, so I really don't know. FYI, I wouldn't booster a kid who still sleeps a lot in the car, but even my 6yo falls asleep occasionally.

Thanks!

Depends. If they slump then you put them in a harness. If they can be taught to put their heads back and they don't slump, a booster is fine. Piper sleeps in her backless booster. She knows how to do it. Once I saw her slump and she woke enough to right herself before I could mention it.

The only seat my girls have had head slump is in the GN. They have no head slump in dedicated boosters or other harnessed seats.

My DD hasn't slept much in a booster yet but she has headslump issues with almost every seat when she's harnessed (even the Frontier sometimes).

However, the times she has slept in a booster (Turbobooster and Big Kid Sport - which is pretty upright) she has been fine with no slumping.

My DD always had head slump in her nauti until we switched it to booster when she was 6. I was really surprised. In her Parkway she leans her head back which looks awkward but works for her.

This makes sense. Unfortunately, she's on the top Frontier harness height, so at some point she'll have to switch.

Sounds good. Thanks.

So the head slumped stopped when using it as a booster? That's good news.

My kids had head slump in the nautilus (harnessed) and in the graco turboboosters. They haven't had it in any other booster: recaro vivo, old style parkway, maxi cosi rodi, or the britax bodyguard. I think that's all the high back boosters we've owned other than the turbos.

On the same topic, on a seat like the Oobr with recline, do people recline it a little for normal use or is the recline only used for sleeping?
