Checking in on travel plans

We are heading on a cruise very shortly, so if my plans totally suck - my options are limited to whatever Amazon prime can ship to me.

We are going on a cruise. We will take public transport to our hotel on night 1, then take a tax on day 2 to our port (short 5 min drive). While on the cruise, we will need to take a taxi in cozumel (15-20 min drive).

When our cruise is done, we will take a cab from the port to the airport (30 min drive).

There is no public transport to the port, so we can't avoid that.

My current plan is to take a safeguard go for my 3.5 year old and an RSTV for my 5.5 year old. It give me a couple of options if we end up in a taxi that has no shoulder belts, but I would obviously need a top tether in whichever position has no shoulder belts.

Alternatively, I could be lazier and bring only the RSTV and bring a LBB for the 5.5 year old. This however would leave me really stuck if we had a vehicle with no shoulder belts. But, I am guessing this is kind of doomsday because my odds of having a LB and top tether are pretty obscure if we don't have a shoulder belt.

We are fairly conservative on c-s safety (DS2 is still RF and DS1 is only in harnessed seats), so jumping to a NBB is a little scary. I could still need to do it in a worse case scenario (no top tether and need to use to go as a backless), but feels weird to leave the Go home if I have it. It is bulky, however.

Am I overthinking it? WWYD.

I would probably bring the RSTV and the Go. Yeah, it's more bulky than a no back but I think it's a better option, considering ds1 has never ridden in a booster before. And I have no idea how crazy drivers are in Mexico.

Is it a Disney cruise?
