Fisher Price (Nania) "grow with me" car seat

I had one of these come to me for a private check today. It was a MESS. The guy had a back injury so he took it to the fire hall and they "helped him", so I wasn't expecting much, but it was bad.
First, the bottom and back of the seat were not attached correctly. It has been slid together, but not pushed in, so when I checked for tightness on the existing install, it literally came apart in my hands.
Second, it was installed with (not permitted centre) UAS, routed through the storage position, not the reverse belt path directed in the manual/stickers.
Third, it was a beast to install, and the top tether wouldn't tighten because the tilt lock it ended up behind the headrest of the CRS and the head restraint of the vehicle.
Then there was other typical misuse that I'd expect with any seat.

Check your belt routing. I *think* it's supposed to go like this:

If that's how it's supposed to look I am not surprised it was done incorrectly! Wow...

ETA the pic didn't link... Scroll up if anyone reading hasn't seen it yet... It's special.

I haven't seen one yet, but I predict a very high rate of misuse just installation wise.

It's sad to see such a well known brand put on such an awfully designed seat. Who knows, it may perform really well in a collision - but with it being about as anti-user-friendly as you can get, I don't think very many of them will be installed and used properly.
