graco myride 70 and positions ff

I just installed this seat in My nissan Pathfinder ff for my 48 Ibs , almost 5 year old. He was using Radian Before but with his long torso he was close to outgrew it. The manual on page 20 says 'adjust to forward facing position 2 or 3 based on you child's size.' What does it mean? Can I use position 3 or is it only for smaller toddlers? I like how recline the seat is because he often sleep in the car- the car seat fits perfectly and it's not moving at all I just don't know if it's ok to use the position 3 for a 5 year old...

Do you mean the MySize70? The recline sticker on the side of the seat indicates that recline 3 is for children 20-70 pounds, and recline 2 is for children 20-40 pounds, so all children above 40 pounds must use recline 3- the most upright recline.
