Erf tiny 4 year old with Down Syndrome

My son is 4.5 years old 28-30lbs, 34 inches tall and tousle height if 14-15 inches. I want to keep him rear facing without a extremely wide seat. Please help.

A Foonf would be a bit over your budget ($400-$500). You can get a Radian for under $300 (The RXT and R120 rear face to 45lbs, the R100 does so to 40lbs) and it is a narrow seat that offers a lot of leg room for older kids. The size4me70/mysize70/headwise70 is slightly taller than a Radian but offers less leg room.

What car seat is he using right now?
