Question Center Fitting FF Radian in VW Jetta Sportwagen

Hello,

I can see from this forum that people have managed to fit a FF Radian into a VW Jetta Sportwagen in the center seat. My question is how to do this??

My husband and I tried today with the seatbelt, but could not make the seat tight enough to be safely used. I did not check the manual but am fairly sure that latch will be too far apart in the outboard seats to be used for a center seat. We have a Graco Snugride that is in one of the outboard seats, and want the Radian in the middle so that we can fit an adult in the back seat when necessary.

I really like the car seat and want to make it work, but was frustrated by my inability to fit it in the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your car does not allow for LATCH borrowing, so you have to use the seatbelt for a center install. I don't have any experience installing a FF Radian, so I'm hoping someone else can come along with an answer for that.

it can be done...you must remove center headrest to allow access to top tether release. Radian must installed with seatbelt & with LOCKING CLIP! I have a 2010 Sportswagon & we have managed to get a fairly good install this way....my husband had to use some elbow grease to get is snugged down because of leather seats but he did manage to get a good install......I am a little crazy when it comes to how my car seats are installed....I want them to be perfect
