What is IMMI?

I have seen IMMI harnesses/buckles mentioned a few times but I can't seem to find anything about what exactly they are. Is it a company or a special made harness system or something?

IMMI is a company. It manufactures components used in car seats, like crotch buckles and LATCH connectors. They also used to make the Safeguard Child Seat and were the original makers of the Safeguard GO, iirc.

Don't they also make seatbelts and bus systems?

So I am assuming their CPS products are really easy to use? I was just curious because I always see people mention things like wishing Graco would use them because of all their buckle issues.

It's like the buckles that Recaro, Britax, Diono (I think) use...so yeah they are better/easier than the Graco ones.

Unfortunately I am car seat deprived and have never owned any of those

I did get to play with a Britax in Target and that was about it. It seemed a lot easier but I'm sure just playing with it for 2 seconds on the store shelf isn't the same.
