Foonf + 2013 Mazda 5

I was asked to try RFing, in the way back, with the 2nd row all the way back. So, here was the attempt. You may not be able to tell, but the base was not touching. It was not going to work.

We put the 2nd row 5 clicks forward, and it worked. Headrest was taken off, to make this work.

ETA: I was just told, to error on the side of caution and put the headrest on. If I left the headrest on, I would click the 2nd seat out another 1-2 clicks.

FFing, again, headrest is off. Belt stalk is twisted 2 full twists.

Is it ok for the ARB to be up above the vehicle seat like that? Seems like that might affect crash dynamics,

Well, that sucks. I could have sworn that someone posted a picture somewhere of the foonf installed in that seat with the seat in front of it all the way back. My RA50 fits in that space better than the foonf. I only have to move the seat forward 1-2 clicks for the RA.

I can't imagine the seat working with the ARB and the headrest installed, either.

Can the foonf be installed rfing in any other recline than full recline with the ARB?

This link suggests that recline 2 can be used with the ARB and base. Do you think it would have made a difference and fit better?

The rearview doesn't look any worse ffing than the frontier I have in that spot right now.

I might be able to talk myself into a foonf still...

Thank you so much for trying this out for me. I really appreciate it.

I had it in my mind that this was going to be "THE" seat for the back of this car. So thank you for helping me know that it is unlikely the seat I need. DH really appreciates the $400+ you just saved him!
