Does a 57" tall, 70 pound child still use a booster?

My kids are ...11 year old , 55" and 70 pounds, Santa Fe
9 year olds, 56" and 68 pounds, Clek Oobr
The height limit on the Cleks is 57". I'm not sure what the height limit is on the Santa Fe. I feel uncomfortable taking them out of boosters at 57 ".
Also is the bubble bum safe for them to use?
Thanks so much!

How do they fit without the booster in comparison with in your car?
My DD is about 56" & 80+ lbs. She fits well without any booster however her fit is still better with one in our vans. In my moms car she doesn't fit with the booster at all anymore. my DD is still only 8 yo. I'd rather her get a little older before I take them away Completely- closer to puberty.

@ 11 yo & if fits well without I'd totally let it go....for the 9yo its a toss up. Similarly sized but younger. I wouldn't sweat it either way.

BTW. Height limits are flexible with boosters especially. Belt fit is most important

As long as the booster is appropriate for their height and weight, the key for me is they pass the five-step test linked above AND fit better without a booster.

It's possible to pass the five step test, but have their seatbelt's position and/or their position in the car relative to headrests, sidewalls, airbags, etc. made better or worse by the booster.

My son is just about the same as your 11 yr old and he does not 5 step in my car. He is 54 in and 68.5 lbs. So for me, 11 or not, He would be in a booster.

The Clek oobrs in high back mode still fit the kids in highest setting, but they seem to work best when the seatbelt is NOT in the seatbelt guide. The guide seems to push in onto their necks... Is it ok for them to use them without the guide...

Well, if they don't 5-step (and have adequate head support) in the vehicle, then, yeah, they need to ride in a booster.

My oldest is 54" and 71-72 lbs (he's 10). He rides in a Clek Olli and is really not going to 5-step anytime soon. Though I can't recommend this to anyone else, personally, I have little issue with him continuing to ride in the Olli (which is a backless) beyond the height limit, provided he still has a proper belt fit and adequate head support (and is within the weight limit).

I think you need to take the back off of the Oobr. It turns into a low back booster. Will they have head support from the vehicle seat if you do that?
