So I am just curious for those of you that have smaller cars/SUV's....how in the world do you get a 2+ year old into their seat? My son is only 14 months and 31 inches but I have an old CR-V (99) and the loading space between his seat and the car door frame is not much at all...I already bump his head trying to get him in a lot of the time. How in the world do you lift an older child into a RF seat without hurting them? I am trying to make it to 2 RF with him but I can't see myself going too far beyond that and having to lift like a 30+ lb kid over the sides of a MR.

Is his seat in the center? I found it easier not to bonk heads in the center, and when he can climb in it will be easier.

No he is on the passenger side....our center seat doesn't have a headrest and I like having the mirror to look back at him. There was no where to connect it in the center.

I have a little kia rio, and was using a MA. Baby is just over 1 yr, and was having the same issue. When I got the radian, no more issue. I realized it was probably because of the base on the MA.

ya, you let them climb in. or. You get a seat with lower sides than a MR. or. You just be really careful, cover their head with your hand. or. You put the seat in the middle. Or. you put the seat on the passenger side, but load through driver. Or. Load through hatch. When dd was a baby, we had a Geo Metro and a Ford Escort. When the Escort is your "big" car, ...... ya lol.
