Graco Ready Ride?

I was in Walmart today and saw a new Graco convertible. It looks just like the Comfort Sport but It says it goes from 4 to 50 lbs. It's cover is red and black dots(Very cute). And It's called Ready Ride or Ready to Ride. Has anyone seen this? It was just in the boxes, no display yet.

I wonder if it's Wal Mart's special version of the Classic Ride?

I saw it today too and this is my guess as well. Wal-Mart now has contracts with nearly all the manufacturers for their "own" seats. Of course, this is my admission that I actually was there and purchased something. Damn Target for not having what I needed.

Thanks! Is it a good seat? I love the cover and was thinking of getting one for the 2 year old.

The Classic Ride/Ready Ride is based on the same shell as the Comfortsport. The top harness is under 14 inches so it is outgrown both rearfacing and forward facing typically by age 2-3. If you have a small child, it may be a great seat, but for average to tall children, I wouldn't recommend it.

How much does your 2 year old weigh? Do you know his torso height (bottom to top of shoulders)? What is your budget? Do you have any requirements in a seat, such as something narrow for fitting in a tight location, or something that is lightweight for traveling with?

Oh I had hoped it was longer lasting then that... B is 27lbs, and his torso is 13 inches. He's rear-facing right now. I do need something narrow and under $150. Right now he's in a all-in-one type & a Scenera.

You might want to check out the Safety 1st Guide 65 (also known as the Easy Fit 65 and Eddie Bauer XRS 65). It has a top harness of at least 17 inches and is fairly narrow (though not the narrowest). It rearfaces to 40 lbs and forward faces to 65 pounds. Some kids don't like the headrest on it as it can push a child's head forward, but it might not be an issue for you.

It is at Walmart right now for $78
