Carseat Issue: 12 Jetta & 96? 4Runner

Our infant seat was a Safety 1st Onboard 35 Air. Fit middle position in our Ford Focus, squished us quite a bit in the 4 Runner.

DD (2yrs) is in a SK Radian XTSL, rear facing, middle position in our '12 Jetta and in the 4 Runner. We use the Angle Adjuster in the Jetta, but not in the 4Runner because it angles it TOO much....

I'm due in April/May. Midwife suspects we're having twins (will find out forsure at next appt.)

If one baby, I need suggestions for a SMALL convertible, equivalent in safety to the Radian:

In the Jetta, DD will move behind me, still RF and the onBoard35 will go in the middle. The seats do not fit in the 4runner together. I dont want to purchase another infant seat, just for the 4Runner, so I'd like to find a small convertible that fits infants well... I do NOT like how the radian fits newborns. My thinking is that DC2 will move to the Radian when it outgrows the small convertible, and DD1 will move to the new Radian that converts to a booster (or whatever they come out with by then), and the future DC3, will go in the small convertible, and cycle through the radians.... Two radians will fit RF in the jetta, so no problems there.....

If two babies, I need suggestions for a small infant seat to go behind DH in the Jetta.

Please let me know if you would do something different... my brain isn't working too well, and this is all I can come up with!

THANKS!
