Out of the loop--any other narrow seats?

My car was just in the shop for two months, and in that time, my 3yo DS outgrew his Coccoro. I replaced it with an Evenflo Secure Kid. Now I have my car back and it just does not work in there with my girls' boosters. Right now I have the Secure Kid, a Harmony DreamTime, and a Turbo. It's a matter of buckling in one by sliding her over, then I have to tip the booster and kid up to buckle the other booster. It's just not a workable solution.

I'm about to put the 7yo up front until I can figure something out here. I'm actually planning on buying a new car because I hate this arrangement so bad.

Anything super narrow I can use instead of the Turbo? I also have a Oobr and we hate it.

Can you put DS in a convertible with a base on it? I have my DD in the middle of my CRV between two Britax convertibles because she can actually buckle  Maybe his seat in the middle and the girls' boosters on either side?

I could, but what convertible has a high but very narrow base?

Oh, wait. I walked into that one.

The Foonf of course :p

LOL! I am still super tempted to get one and see if it makes my 3 across any better. Really I just want to play with it haha.

Oh, the Peg would probably work REALLY well next to boosters! The base/height is similar to a classic MA.

The base looks a bit wide. I'll have to go see if carseatblog has a review with measurements of that base.

What are the top strap slots, anyone know offhand?

ETA: the MA is way too wide.

Ok. It's a pain even with the Radian, and was bad even with a Coccoro, so I think a new car is the solution here

IME the Turbo stinks for 3 across - those arm rests KILL my 3 across attempts. :(

Is there a booster without arm rests out there or is that pretty standard?

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble.... i hated driving the car for the 2 weeks my van was getting body work after the tornado.

The Turbo actually works better than the DreamTime even though it's wider, because of the way it's shaped.

I think I'm going to get a Foonf and try it. If it doesn't work, I will just save it for the new car. But, I can't find any place that has them in stock that ships to Alaska :(

The Evenflo Sure Ride/Titan 65 has 19" top slots, 65 ff weight limit, and looks to be fairly narrow. Supposed to be shipping end of December/beginning of January, I think, with a price of around $99. Maybe that would work?

Want measurements? I have one staring at me. Send me your email too, k?

akcpst@gmail.com Yeah, I'm original :p

Hm, is that the one that is in Target? It looks narrow, and the sides are scooped in such a way it might work to overlap my side bolsters and also to allow a booster to buckle.

Yup, it's the one that was on display at Target and taken down for awhile, but it'll be back in a little while. There was something about it on the blog.

We found the Evenflo Amp high back to be better to buckle in our 3 across. The shape of the armrests helps.

Sent from my iPhone and probably NAK, please excuse my typos.

Oops I blogged instead of posting!

Our Target still has the Titan/whatever. We are behind the times! I think I will buy one and try it. An Amp too! DD doesn't fall asleep in the car anymore and she asked for a backless. I'll try it.

Well I think it would work, but they only have the display, with a bunch of Titan50 seats marked down.

They should have it in a few weeks then. I sure hope so! I would still try an Amp to see if that might give you just enough wiggle room; the taller arm rests might just do it. It was a better fit than the backless Turbo in our two-door Pontiac Sunfire next to a Maestro, and I could fit two backless Amps with a Maestro center, but high back Amps should fit the same.
