What's up with this Avenue...

I've always wondered why this seat does this. The harness slots in the seat do not match up with the cover. The slots in the cover are above the slots in the seat. It has always been like this. So DD appears even with the 3rd slot in the seat but the slot in the cover appears above her shoulders...it actually comes up and over the slot in the cover. I worry that the harness isn't tight enough due to the cover.

In the first pic you can see that the harness pulls the cover down some. The second pic you can see my fingers through the back. They are on top of the harness so you can see how much lower the harness is coming through the seat vs the cover. I can reach behind DD and tug the cover down to make them even but it doesn't stay like that.

I think as long as the straps feel tight it's fine. I know the classic MA had this happen sometimes, and I was reassured that it wouldn't create a tightening issue.

I wouldn't have any concerns based on the pictures. It's really common for covers to not line up with the harness slots - can be super annoying, but it's pretty common. As long as the harness is set to the right height and properly tightened, I wouldn't worry about it.
