In the US it's a course that last over 4-5 days, usually, and includes classroom instruction, hands-on instruction in cars, a written test, and hands-on practical exams.

    Thanks for that.
What are the tests like do many people fail? is the hands on exam/checking clinic also held during this 4-5 days? Are any particular states better to train with than others?

    Re: Technicians

It would be pretty hard to fail, it's an open book test. The courses are 3-4 days including the seat check. No state is any better then the other IMO, it's not where you are necessarily. It's the instructor you have.
