Graco SR30

I was reading the infant seat rec thread and noticed almost everyone would recommend the SR30. Why? I have one for DD2 and I hate it! She seems to also. I loosen the straps to take her out of the seat and they appear to be even (I pull by holding the center of the closed chest clip) When I tighten them 1 is always tighter than the other, its time consuming and frustrating to fix. Also not a fan of the buckle. DD1 I had the KF30 which was a wonderful problem free seat.

So I am wondering if so many like this seat am I doing something wrong?

My personal preferences is for the newer 4lb. minimum Snugride 35 vs. the Snugride 30, especially if you have a lower birthweight infant or need to install the base with a seatbelt. We also like the Britax B-Safe, Chicco Keyfit 30 and Safety 1st OnBoard Air 35, among others.
