Question RF or FF for car trip - Britax Blvd

We have a 2 yr, 7 mo old who is RF in Britax Bouleverd 70. She is 25 pounds and 36 inches tall.
We are taking a 9 hour drive and I have been contemplating turning her around...
It would certainly be easier to travel with her FF but RF is much safer.
Any feedback?

When we drove down to VA from PA my 1 & 2 year olds both road RF'ing and I think FF'ing would have been much hardest. RF'ing the slept, ate and colored easier bc they has their legs elevated and that way their laps where a much better work surface ;)

Yes, I could sit by her if necessary. I also like the comment about her legs being more like a work surface! And the fact that she won't drop toys as easily... Thank you!!!:D

I know it was a no-brainer decision, but the boost in confidence to keep my 2 1/2 year old RF is nice! Not too many people I know understand why my dd is RF

If she's already RF I'd never turn her around for a trip. An extended time in the car just means an extended time to be at the same risk she normally is at day to day, for a shorter time. Also, for reasons others mentioned, I can't imagine why traveling FF would be "easier."

I have always found that traveling is much easier with RF kids. They can't see when you're eating milkshakes in the front seat, just for starters. :) Plus, it's easy to pass toys back to RF kids - just dump the toy on their head. Try to pass a toy to a FF kid and you have to sort of toss it to them, and inevitably they drop it. And it's also more likely that they'll sleep when RF because they are in a more reclined position.

Have a good trip!

I'd give anything to have my daughter weigh less so I could rf her again. When rf she could climb into her own seat, she didn't drop everything, and she couldn't push her feet into my seat.

I've heard so many stories about legs falling asleep while FF that I'd avoid long trips FF if possible. I wouldn't want that done to me, so I wouldn't do it to kids.

Someone compared it to an adult sitting on a countertop for hours on end, since their legs just hang.
