    Elf on the Shelf

I really want an Elf on the Shelf book and elf but we can't afford a brand new one this year. Colton saw the movie and my sister has one for her kids and he doesn't understand why an elf doesn't visit us. Does not need to be in pristine condition, just taken care of. Really hoping for the $15 PP range.

Or you could just one of these if that B&N sale falls through.

I noticed it says this one is for a girl elf? The boy elf was a significantly higher price. Not that I'm anti-girl elf or anything, but with three boys we usually would opt for a boy elf. Anyone know the difference? Is it just a removable skirt on the girl elf or something? Trying to decide whether to go for it or not. I checked eBay and this Barnes and Noble deal seems really good.

Thanks all! I am ordering one right now! I can't wait. I would have liked the boy one too, but you can't beat the price for the girl.

I just looked at it and I think if you take the skirt off it could be a boy elf just fine.

According to the reviews, you have to purchase the skirt separately. ???

Crap. I just discussed it with DH and he says - go for it. Clicked on the Barnes and Noble link and it's back up to $29.99. Boo.
