Quick! Carseat in a truck question

A friend just asked me about having to transport her 2 yr old in a newer model Ford Ranger. It is about ~10 miles a day if I understood her right. He is in a scenera riding RF in the passenger seat with the airbag off. Anything other than making sure the seat is as far back as possible that she should do? He normally rides FFing in the middle seat in the 2nd row in a tahoe, but she puts him RFing in this situation because she knows it isn't ideal and wants him as safe as possible so I give her kudos for that!

Thanks! I will remind her that he should RF in the Tahoe too, but given the circumstances I am super proud of her for making past one before flipping him. When is the scenera outgrown RFing? The threads that I am looking at disagree about 1" rule vs head level to shell.

That's because there were two different versions with different height limits. The 35 pound rear facing one I believe is 36" or 1". I want to say the 40 pound rear facing one was 40" or head even with the top of the shell. I'm not positive on either of those, but I know there were differences between them.

OK, I will just remind her to check her manual about when he outgrows it rearfacing. Thanks for the quick response!
