Diono cover, R100 vs R120

Are the R100's less cushy or padded vs the R120 covers?

I know there is no body support included with the R100 seat. Are the actual covers less padded though?

Also is the cup holder included with the R100? I see online pics that show one, but don't see in the description that there is one included.

:confused::confused:

I don't need the infant padding at all so I want save money and get a R100. But from the stock photos it looks like the microfiber covers (Dune is the one Im interested in) that come on those are much less padded than the R120 covers like Rugby or Storm.

Stock photos really stink. :/

Do the R100's have the memory foam? Looking at Diono's website its listed for all the convertibles but not for the R120 :confused:

I have not seen irl any Diono seats but I thought the R100 was in the same class as the old 65's and those did have memory foam.

That's what I thought too but I'm confused by their site. :/

The RXT"s and R120's have memory foam in the seat R100's do not. I believe Diono has said that you can order and add memory foam to the R100.

Just thought Id update :D

I ordered the R100, cover padding feels the same, surprisingly has a memory foam insert in the bum, no cup holder ;)

I have high hopes for it!!

How are you liking the R100? I am looking at the R100/R120 for my DD who just turned 1. She is almost 31" so I want something that will last us. Like you, I am wondering if the R120 is worth the extra $$.

I'd like to know too! I'm torn between the 100 and 120. I wish there was some magical way to know if the extra 5 lbs will be needed by DN before it's outgrown rf by height

The only way I would now choose the R120 is if I was using it with an infant and needed the extra inserts. The R100 suits our needs perfectly :D
