Fitting Diono in 4Runner with 6'5 Driver

    Hi -

My 8 mo daughter is on the cusp of outgrowing her Keyfit 22 and I'd like to upgrade to the Diono as I've heard so much about them. My problem/Q is it fitting in a 2007 4Runner with a tall driver. My husband has to have his seat all the way back to comfortably fit, he's 6'5, and I'm not sure the seat will fit behind him without it being smushed in there behind him. He leaves the other two seats down in the backrow to fit work tools and for our dog to ride.

Does anyone have experience with this? Or have recommendations for other top notch car seats that will fit behind him? My daughter has my long torso so I'm thinking convertible seats that accommodate that long term would be ideal.

    Thank you!

If you can fit the Keyfit you can fit a Diono with angle adjuster. Remember, convertible seats can sit more upright, so they generally don't take up as much room front to back as infant seats.

How are the tools and dog restrained? Unrestrained they're projectiles. The dog could be hurt at the very least, and depending on the size of the dog and tools at the worst they could injure or kill the occupants of the car.

In our van I am the only one that can drive, my 6'6 husband can't fit with any of our RF seats behind him.
