The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with KidCo Inc., of Libertyville, IL, is announcing the voluntary recall today of about 220,000 PeaPod and PeaPod Plus Travel Beds. Infants and young children can roll off the edge of the inflatable air mattress, become entrapped between the mattress and the fabric sides of the tent, and suffocate. The travel tents were made in China and sold at independent juvenile specialty stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from January 2005 through the present for between $70 and $100.

Nielsen-Kellerman Recalls Microphones Due to Electric Shock, Burn Hazards. Sold at: Nielsen-Kellerman Co. online and authorized NK dealers worldwide for about $99.

Ceiling-Mounted Light Fixtures Recalled by Dolan Northwest Due to Fire and Shock Hazards. Sold at: Builders Lighting, Globe Lighting, Seattle Lighting and online at DestinationLighting.com from September 2008 through September 2009 for about $32.

Powermate Generators Recall to Repair by Pramac America Due to Fire Hazard. Sold exclusively at: Home Depot stores in northeast, mid-west and southeast United States from February 2012 through August 2012 for about $550.

John Deere Recalls Utility Vehicles Powered by Kawasaki Engines Due to Fire Hazard. Sold at: John Deere dealers nationwide from November 2011 to August 2012 for between $6,600 and $9,400.

Kawasaki Motors Recalls Fuel Filters for Lawn Mower and Utility Vehicle Engines Due to Fire Hazard. Sold at: Kawasaki dealers nationwide between August 2011 and August 2012. Filters cost about $5; tune-up kits cost between $40 and $70.

American Honda Recalls Portable Generators Due to Fire and Burn Hazards. Sold at: Honda Power Equipment dealers, Camping World, Gander Mountain, Grainger, Hertz Rental, John Deere, National Pump & Compressor, Northern Tool, Scheels Sporting, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Sunbelt Rentals, True Value, United Rentals, White Cap and Wholesale Sports store nationwide and online from October 2011 through September 2012 for between $1,150 and $1,400.

Kawasaki Motors Recalls Lawn Mower Engines Due to Fire Hazard. Brands include: Ariens/Gravely, Bad Boy Mowers, Bob-Cat, Bush Hog, Bush Hog, Tiger Corp., Country Clipper, Cub Cadet, Dixie Chopper, DR Power Equipment, Encore, Exmark, Ferris/Snapper Pro, Ferris/Snapper Pro/Simplicity, Husqvarna, Husqvarna/Dixon, Hustler/Big Dog, Land Pride, SCAG, Toro, Woods, Worldlawn. Sold at: Authorized Kawasaki small engine dealers and lawn and garden equipment retailers nationwide. Recalled units were sold between October 2011 and August 2012 for between $2000 and $10,000.

Pinnacle Foods Group LLC a Fort Madison, Iowa establishment, is recalling approximately 90,975 pounds of bourbon barbecue sausage products (“Armour Vienna Sausage Bourbon BBQ Flavored”) because they may have been underprocessed. The products subject to recall were produced on Sept. 7, 2012, and sold to retail establishments nationwide.

Magnolia Bird Farm, Incorporated, of Anaheim, California, is recalling Raw and Roasted In-shell Peanuts and Magnolia Bird Farm Bird seed mixes that contain peanuts, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese (KFHC), due to the abundance of caution, is conducting a voluntary recall due to routine testing based on our company’s concern for our customers. This testing confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in a few samples of the cheeses. These specific cheeses and lot numbers were distributed or sold beginning on September 20th, 2012 to locations in Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia to distributors, restaurants and farmer’s markets.

Publix Super Markets is issuing a voluntary recall for forty-five (45) various cake products due to the fact that they may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. Product was distributed to Publix stores between November 11, 2012 through November 15, 2012 to select Florida counties, including: Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Flagler, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia.

Spence & Co Ltd, Brockton MA, a smoked salmon company is voluntarily recalling New York-Style Nova Lox, 4oz, Code/Lot: 9720704 due to an abundance of caution because of possible contamination by Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled product is identified and distributed as follows: Through Distributors in IL, MO, NJ, MA and in the Detroit area between 9.26.12 and 10.5.12. It has also been distributed to the following retail stores Earthfare: AL, NC, GA, SC, TN, FL & OH between 9.28.12 and 10.5.12. Shaws Supermarkets: New England on 9.28.12. (expiration date 10.21.12). Roche Bros: MA on 9.26.12 (expiration date 10.19.12).

Mindray Medical International Limited (NYSE: MR), a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical devices worldwide, has initiated a voluntary recall affecting the A3/A5 Anesthesia Delivery System. Mindray has initiated this recall due to the possibility of a system leak resulting from improper seating of the CO2 absorbent canister gasket.
