Weird Britax Wings

My friend did an install of a Boulevard G3 and she said the wings were abnormally narrow on it. She sent a picture, and it looks like the wings are angling in.

Has anyone else encountered that?

The mom is in touch with Britax about it.

Our floor model at BRU had that problem, I'm pretty sure the foam was actually cracked from the wings being pushed in too far, IIRC. Not sure how it happened, but I guess it's not too uncommon. (I took mine off the floor and didn't sell it that way, of course!)

Out of curiosity, would cracked foam affect the theoretical effectiveness of the headwings? I feel like the fabric would still hold the foam in place to buffer the head in a side impact. Obviously not ideal, especially for a brand new seat, but maybe something that's not a huge concern if it gets broken down the road?
