Question Turning FF in secondary car.

My youngest will be 3 on the 23rd she's tiny and probably has years of growing room RF in the Roundabout 50 in dad's Subaru. The problem is when he has friend's ride they push the seat back in to the carseat. The kids don't ride in his car often but DD has shown no interest in turning FF she loves both of her seats the way they are. So do I just flip her in his car or take it out and install as needed?

Option 3, tell his friends to suck it up and not touch your carseat. But otherwise I'd install in ff. If you want to and have time you can install it rf before she rides but this way its in and ready to go for any last minute situations.

It usually happens when he's at work and they go out for lunch. I don't even know about it until it's done and often never see the person that does it. Yesterday he uninstalled it and turned it around but didn't bother buckling it in. She'll probably fit on the same slot FF and RF.

what about moving the seat to behind the driver's seat? then their seat moving in any way won't affect it... your hubby will just have to keep his seat in place

if that doesn't give him enough room to sit to drive, though, being as she is going to be 3 and is well over the 2yr old minimum, I would go ahead and turn her because a properly installed and used seat is safer than an improperly one.

There is a Maestro behind the driver for my 4 yr old, he would not be comfortable with a RF seat behind him, he has a 100 mile round trip commute in that car, he needs to be comfortable. I'm fine sitting in front of it, but it I'd prefer it back a notch or 2.

At right at 3 I would be comfortable turning her FF in the secondary car. I turned Marcus FF in my ex's car at 2 1/2, seat getting pushed back into the car seat & various things. He did not ride that far in his car & he was safer riding in a properly installed seat than an improperly installed seat. So I felt ok with it.

He also never fussed about the difference. He was fine being RF with me in the main vehicle & FF in the other less used vehicle. He went back & forth between RF & FF between 2 1/2 to almost 4 b/c of various factors without any issues.
