Why is there no 2013 Mazda 5?

The Mazda5 was just redesigned for the 2012 model year so perhaps the 2013 models will be available later this calendar year or early next year instead of right now? Model year changeovers occur later than one would expect for some vehicle models for some reason. For instance, our Prius is a 2011 model with a build date of October or November 2011 when you'd think it would have been a 2012 model with a build date in the fall/early winter of 2011.
