What to do about no headrests?

My husbands pickup is an 2002 Dodge Ram quad cab. We are going to be traveling with it in a few days, and I just realized that there are no headrests on the back seat.
The children that will be riding are:
DD 5- Radian (will likely be in front middle).
DS 6- Special Tomato rear middle.
DD- 14 Seatbelt rear drivers side
DS- 15 Seatbelt rear passenger side.
Myself- Front Passenger
DH- Driver

Is there a way to add headrests? Is there an alternative?

You have to have headrests behind any child that is higher than that seat back. I would get hbb for the bid kids. Do all spaces have lap shoulder?

unfortunately, there really isn't anything to be done. Your older kids at 14 and 15 won't fit into any HBB unless they are super duper tiny, and i assume you would have mentioned that. Not use the vehicle is the only true solution, but I'm also assuming that isn't an option you want to choose.

Is the seat right up against the window, or is there a space? For travel in a few days, I would either tape thick dense foam to the window (if the window is right there), or else jam a long duffle bag packed with clothes behind the seat with half sticking up. Neither is ideal, but better than nothing. Long term I'd look into switching out the seatbacks with a newer model (if that's possible), or else check out my thread about adding headrests to my 15-p Chevy Express van (let me know if you can't find it) -- you might be able to do the same thing depending on the structure of your seatbacks.
