Custom Radian covers...bad?

I came across this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-Cover-set-for-Sunshine-Kids-Radian-XT-/160428366737

When I was looking for this:
http://carseatblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/radiandots.jpg

The first one looks like it fits very well and the harness slots line up perfectly. Which brings my to my question: If the "custom" cover fits nicely, what are the dangers of doing so? Other than voiding any warranty and not knowing how it will crash test (same as the seat "protectors").

How does the cover affect crash testing?

Who knows what the stretchy/slippery type fabrics are going to do also. There are so many of those out there it's scary (although mostly for infant or Britax seats).

There is no way of knowing....it is the great unknown. Likely, assuming the cover fits well, it would be fine. But, voiding the warranty and truly not knowing for sure is enough for me.

Every time Britax makes a cover, they crash test it. That right there tells me I will stay with actual covers.

Actually, to me it looks like it wouldn't allow the headwings to move all the way up. The cover is not the same around the headwings as an actual Radian cover.

And of course I would never use a custom cover anyway :)

Why wasn't the pink dots REAL cover ever available? I love it!
I agree. I saw that one on google when I was pricing them (back before I bought in Feb), and wanted it so bad, DD would have flipped her lid for that one.
