I haven't been able to use the app for months. I have no idea what to do anymore. It stays in loading and that's it.

I did that a while back and it worked for a couple of days. I did it now and it let me go in but not reply.

So you just logged in now? Or you were never logged out? If you're logged in and can't reply, I'd logout and back in again.
If you're on an iPhone and the forever loading page happens again, you can kill the app from the task bar and reopen (and potentially login again) rather than deleting and reinstalling.

If this started within the last 10 days, it could be that your app is still seeing the old read-only forum for some reason. For the last 24 hours, no traffic has been going to the old server when I have checked, though it's likely a small number of visitors still get routed to the old server throughout the day.
