Date of manufacture is 6/2011!! I received the seat less than a month ago and just happened to look at it before we installed it. DD is 6 months and 16 pounds. Is there a chance it'll expire before she outgrows it?

(insert mad mommy cuss word here.) So irritated.

Did you pay full price for it? If so I would be pretty darn mad and want to exchange or return it.

But they do last for 6 years, so she could be outgrowing it or close before it expires.

It was the deal of the day a month or so ago. A sale but definitely not a steal.

It's going back. Wonder if they'd exchange...

The old buckle you push down to release, it's easy to buckle and unbuckle. The new style you press in at the top to release, it's not as easy to use for some people. Graco made the change on all their seats.

Right around the spring of 2011, Graco changed from a larger buckle to a tiny buckle and changed the fabric of the harness straps on the MyRide & GN and perhaps other seats.

I've had the MR & GN for years with the old buckle, and never had any issues with them, although they feel hollow and weird compared to Britax & Evenflo buckles. They can stick at times, but they work fine.

The new Graco buckle is tiny and REALLY hard to open. It is very much disliked by a lot of people, although there are some fans. Here are some comparison pics (of the Agros/Nautilus, but the MR has the same buckle):

I'm sorry about that. Typically a sale means an older DOM.
