Frontier vs Argos 70 Elite

So I yesterday I purchased a 2008 Toyota Prius (after totaling my 1996 Honda Accord.....son was not in it, but the GN was....so that is totaled also). I am now searching for a seat for the Prius. We have a compass booster for school trips and things (son is 5 yrs old), but I was kind of wanting another harnessed seat for my car. DS really wants to be boostered full time, but I don't think he is ready.....does great on short trips, but I am not so sure he is ready for any longer trips in a booster.

So I was looking at the Argos Elite because it looks cool, but for like a few dollars more, I could get another Frontier......

Just wondering if anyone knew which would fit better in the Prius (given the smaller backseat and the low ceiling height)....

Thanks.....

I think the Frontier is a little lower-profile than the Argos. And if it's not and I'm remembering wrong, TRY the Argos with your kid first before you do anything else, because the crotch strap is really short and low in, nothing like the nice roomy choices and leg support you get with the FR.

Total Tangent OP, but which Compass booster do you have? Does it fit well with the Prius' angled headrests? (Does the 2008 have the same angled headrests as the 2012?) I'm on the hunt for a hbb for my 5yo DD in ILs Prius.

As for your question, I'd get another Frontier if you want a harnessed seat. However, if you already have one harnessed seat for him (for use on long trips), I'd have no problem with a 5yo who sits correctly riding in a hbb for local trips and would not buy a second harnessed seat for him.

My DD does this. She rides rfing in her Radian for long trips, but is in a HBTB or Vivo for all local trips.

I've installed a GN in a Prius, so it is compatible, just as an FYI. The others have given better answers to the rest of your questions, just thought I would add that tidbit. :)

I should add that I installed with LATCH so I can't speak to seat belt installations.
