My LLL group has a garage sale every year. Last year I bought all the expired ones and when my friend asked why I told her it is because they expire (and these were REALLY bad). She said she would use "totally use them in a grandparents car" :( I just saw her today and she wanted to know how to dispose of a car seat, because her baby just turned 1 and is outgrowing his infant seat (that has been used with all 3 of her kids- oldest is 5). AND she wants to keep him RF until at least 2, maybe 3! Yay! :D

I know what you mean!

I went to a shower for a friend of my daughter's. She got a ConfortSport carseat as well as an infant seat. I am so used to people in my own extended family not paying any attention to what I say :rolleyes: that I almost didn't say anything. But the opportunity came up so I mentioned the ComfortSport didn't last as long as many other seats, especially since they wouldn't use it til after the infant seat and she and her husband are both very tall. I also told her about expirations. At the time (about 6 years ago) Britax was the gold standard. I told her and left it at that. A year and a half later, they stopped by here to pick up some things and I walked out to the car to see their little girl RF in a beautiful Blvd! She said they had taken the ComfortSport back right away and got the BLVD when DD outgrew the infant seat.
