So, my van broke down the other day. That was a bummer, especially as I was en route with the 3 kids on an out of town trip.
Anyway, while we are trying to figure out the van's issues, I put the carseats in the Saturn for the first time. It's an Ion, and the baby is in a Snugride (low weight limit one) and my almost 6 year old twins are in Parkways. It is TIGHT. I think it's ok but how do I know for sure that they are all safe?
Also, the girls' belts are REALLY difficult to reach because they go right down in the seat, plus there is no space to reach in. I have to reach underneath and it's like threading a needle.
Is there anything I could do to help this situation?
a) Would Belt Biters help, or would there even be room down there, do you think?
b) Would turboboosters be narrower? I wouldn't mind getting back up boosters anyway so I'd be open to buying those.
c) I've been planning to buy a convertible soon for the baby (he is 5 months). Would a RF marathon or blvd be bigger or smaller when puzzled in to the back seat?
I really hope this is a temporary situation but to save money our mechanic may take a couple weeks.
