Radian cover removal...

Sorry if this has been asked before but search is disabled...

I have and Eddie Bauer AOE which my DD is about to outgrow rear facing and I'm looking to replace it. I haven't minded the seat really... It has gotten a solid install in all of our cars and I liked the no-rethread harness but it gets dirtier than I like it bc I absolutely despise removing the cover... It's a pain!

Is the radian easier in this regard?

nope.

The Diono/Sunshine Kids seats are hands down my least favorite for changing covers. I think many posters will agree. The covers are held on by little plastic pins, which you either have to remove (sometimes by force), or stretch the holes in the cover over. A wholly frustrating experience, with lots of cussing involved.

Crap..: that's exactly my issue with the AOE... Two belt guides around the cover that you have to pry on and pry on... It's covered on throw-up right now so I really don't want to fool with it...

The foonf cover is not removable except the headrest correct?

Hm, I don't mind switching covers on my RXT or xtsl at all? I mean, it's not Britax easy, but after the first time it isn't too bad?
I dislike those little elastic/peg doodads on some seats with the fire of 1000 suns, lol.

WSS. The Monterey is truly awful, but the Radian isn't bad at all.

Well I'm glad some of you don't hate them. It does sound like they have the exact thing I hate about my seat... Its really my best option height wise for her though. She just turned 2 and is only 28.5 lbs but she is fast approaching the 1 inch mark. I know I'm going to start catching grief for still rfing her bc even her friends moms that listened to me at a year and didn't turn their kids then have started turning them now... Even the tiny ones...

I haven't pulled the cover off of the Size4Me, but that or the True Fit are going to be other contenders for height. Although after the first time you change the Radian cover, it's really not that bad (the pins become much easier, IMO.)

Radian is a beast to dress and undress.

I pitched the black plastic pegs from he** years ago though, and it's much easier, and the covers stay on just fine.

The ERF pros of a Radian outweigh the irritation of dressing it, I think.

Do the new Diono seats still have pegs? My brain is telling me my Shadow (?) cover doesn't.

I don't mind taking the cover off or putting it back on my radian. I think its relatively straightforward but the snaps do require some man power

I don't think my RXT has pegs, just the metal buttons. I am actually going to wash it's clothes tonight so I'll check :p
