Diono vs Sunshine Kids

I have a sunshine kids radian 80. A friend is wanting to see how the seat would install in her car. I thought I had read that there were some changes to the belt path, and the seat was a different width. Would it still be worth trying mine in her car? I don't want mine to fit, and then her get one of the Diono ones and that one not working out. There are no places around here that carry them. She will be using it rear facing for an almost three year old. She has a Nissan car of some sort.

Thanks!

They are pretty similar in size, but the Diono is slightly wider at the booster belt path, and the latch anchors/tilt lock are slightly different. I can securely install my Diono in the capt chair of my caravan, while the ssk xtsl is incompatible because the tilt lock is right on the edge of the belt path. I haven't tried the ssk with the angle adjuster, though.

Is she worried about fitting it next to another seat? The slight difference in width might affect that. Front to back, they should be about the same.

Are they wider or narrower?

I'll be comparing the Diono and Foonf myself, when they arrive, leaning towards the low profile of the Diono, but like the longevity of the Foonf...

The diono one is a tad wider at the base and thus not as 3 across friendly as the sk seat. Other than that, it installs about the same.

Thanks so much! That's what I thought it said, but for some reason, I thought it was the opposite! Like it had a wider seat space, but was some how narrower, no idea where I got that from.

Not liking that it's not as 3 across friendly! If I just lost my 3 across fitting seat, and then get my old car back, I'm going to be TICKED to no tomorrow!

I still haven't gotten over my 33#RF MA from 4 years ago, from RF before a crash to FF after, didn't impress me much!

So, 3 across before the crash and 2 afterwards, not nice I tell you!
